Fanning Sinful Flames

A fire that burns and consumes with lust
will beat your heart down to a shattered dust.
A fire that leads you to giving in,
won't let you believe you're committing a sin.
The fire will burn deep down in your soul
you cannot avoid it
you're too weak to say no...

So you give to the fire by fanning it's flame,
when it's over you think you will die from the shame.
The fire will leave without saying goodbye
it will render no answers, just tell you more lies.
The fire returns when you think you have grown
and knocks you around 'til you lie there and moan.

The hurt that you feel is not physical pain,
but the sting of the heart
that was burnt by the flame.
